Since Lakshadweep is a bunch of small islands together, ferries and helicopters remain the main commuting modes here. For the helicopters, you need to register your name at the Port office before you book a ticket. Hence, it is always a good idea to book your helicopter seats in advance to avoid any last-minute panic. Another smart way of local commuting is renting bicycles which is most convenient and fun way while in any island.
